Frequently Asked Questions

Please submit your questions via the contact page if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Mobile In-Home Care: We come to you! Currently, Sacral Function Therapy does not have an in-person clinic space. For those requiring a more hands-on approach, we provide services in your home to promote function and independence in your natural environment. Serving St Clair County; travel fee applied outside of range.

Telehealth: For the flexibility of being seen anywhere in IL. We use SimplePractice for EHR, Client Portal & Intake, and Telehealth Appointments.

See Our Services for more information on initial and treatment visits.

We provide a menu of options and you don't need to decide ahead of time. There are many ways to understand how your Pelvic Floor Muscles are coordinating from the most external, observational approach to a direct internal muscle palpation. We will work at your pace, with your consent, and can complete aspects of the assessment in subsequent visits if necessary. Please reach out with additional questions.

Internal Palpation

External Palpation

Perineal Observation at Rest & with Activity

Self-Guided for Telehealth (Self Observation & Self PFM Assessment)

Pressure Management, Load Transfer & Breathing Assessment

We do not work directly with insurance providers as we are a private-pay based practice. We do provide superbills you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursements. Please inform your therapist if you would like to receive superbills. Providing a superbill does not gaurantee reimbursement or coverage as this is plan dependent.
