"As someone with lived experiences with medical trauma, having to question whether my mental health or physical health needed to be addressed for my well-being, I pledge to dissolve the traditionally authoritative patient-provider relationship for one of collaboration and client-autonomy. Your safety and consent to your Plan of Care should be in your control, supported by informed decision-making."
-Perry (She/Her/They/Them)

Our mission is to provide trauma-informed, affirming occupational therapy services for adults aged 18 and older experiencing dysfunction in their daily roles, habits, and routines related to their pelvic health and sexual wellness. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive space that advocates for and serves LGBTQIA+ individuals, disabled and nondisabled individuals, and interabled couples with dignity, compassion, and respect. Through collaborative, evidence-informed care, we support clients in restoring a sense of safety within their bodies, promoting continence and autonomy, and returning to meaningful occupations that support health, participation, pleasure, and overall well-being.
Our vision is to cultivate a healthcare environment where all adults — especially LGBTQIA+ and disabled communities — have access to affirming, trauma-informed pelvic health and occupational therapy services that honor the whole person. We envision a future where continence, sexual wellness, bodily autonomy, and functional independence are recognized as essential components of health and dignity, empowering individuals and couples to fully participate in the occupations and relationships that matter most to them.
At Sacral Function Therapy, we believe your care should be guided by your needs — not by insurance limitations. Insurance policies often restrict the type of treatment provided, limit the number of sessions available, and prioritize standardized care over individualized healing. These barriers can prevent clients from receiving the time, attention, and specialized support they deserve.
Our private-pay practice was created to offer a more personalized and client-centered approach to pelvic health and sexual wellness. By remaining out-of-network with insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid, we are able to focus fully on your goals, your comfort, and your healing process without the restrictions of insurance-driven care.
This means:
We work for you and our priority is creating a safe, respectful, and compassionate therapeutic environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your care journey.
